Originally from the Washington, DC area, Kirstjen attended The College of William and Mary and moved to New York City after graduation. A few years later, she decided to see what China had to offer! When she isn't teaching, she enjoys traveling with her husband, studying Chinese, practicing yoga, reading, and running.

个人简介：My name is Katie and I teach IGCSE EFL/ESL at the Hangzhou ACT and Cambridge Center. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2013 and majored in English Literature. I have been living in China for over a year and my academic focus in English as a Foreign Language. Using Western classroom and teaching techniques, I work to improve students’ levels of written and spoken English. As students advance from English as a Second Language into English as a First Language, my classes build upon their foundational knowledge to equip them with a linguistic toolkit. These skills assist students to critically assess written and spoken language, crucial to future careers in international fields. Their knowledge is further advanced with practical skills in article writing, speech-making, and presentation skills.
